The correct answer is: Option 2) 200

Concept Used:

Time = Distance/ Speed

and

Average speed = Total Distance / Total Speed

Solution:

Distance1 = 24 km

Speed1 = 16 km/hr

So, the time taken by him to cover 24 km, time1 = 24/16 = 1.5 hours

same as,

Distance2 = 36 km

Speed2 = 15 km/hr

So, the time taken by him to cover 36 km, time2 = 36/15 = 2.4 hours

Now,

Total distance covered by him = Distance1 + Distance2 = 24 + 36 = 60 km

Total time taken by him = time1+ time2 = 1.5 + 2.4 = 3.9 hours

So, Average Speed (H) = Total Distance / Total time = 60/3.9

H = 60/3.9

13H = 13 × 60/3.9 = 200

So, the correct answer is Option 2.
