Jharkhand APO Syllabus 2025: FAQs

The selection process consists of three stages: Preliminary Examination (objective type), Mains Examination (descriptive type) and Viva-Voce (interview).

The Prelims consist of two papers: General Knowledge (100 marks) and Law (200 marks). Topics include current affairs, Indian polity, economy, history and law subjects like IPC, CrPC, Evidence Act and the Constitution.

There are eight descriptive papers in total, covering General Hindi, General English, Essay Writing, General Studies, Evidence & CrPC, IPC, Constitutional Law, and Criminal Minor Acts. Additionally, a regional language test is conducted.

Focus areas include the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), Indian Evidence Act, Constitutional Law and Criminal Minor Acts.

Yes, candidates must choose one regional language such as Santali, Mundari, Khortha, Kurmali or others listed in the syllabus for a 100-mark test.
