Explanation:

Casting:

  • This is a manufacturing process where a liquid material is usually poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the desired shape, and then allowed to solidify. The solidified part is also known as a casting, which is ejected or broken out of the mold to complete the process. Metals such as iron, aluminum, magnesium, and copper alloys are commonly used in casting due to their melting points.
  •  Casting is often used for making complex shapes that would be otherwise difficult or uneconomical to make by other methods. The molten metal is poured into the mold and once it cools, it hardens into the shape of the mold.

Deep Drawing: It is a sheet metal forming process where a sheet metal blank is radially drawn into a forming die by the mechanical action of a punch. Thus, this process does not involve the use of molten metal.

Machining: This is any of various processes in which a piece of raw material is cut into a desired final shape and size by a controlled material-removal process. It involves processes such as cutting, drilling, milling etc., so no molten metal is used here.

Forging: This is a manufacturing process involving the shaping of metal using localized compressive forces. It is often performed by a hammer or a die. The metal is heated but not to the point where it becomes molten.

So, in summary, molten metal is used in the casting process where it is poured into molds to create objects in the desired shape. Once the molten metal cools and solidifies, the mold is removed, leaving behind the cast object.
