The Government of Maharashtra's Unitary Maharashtra Technological University, College of Engineering Pune Technological University (CoEP), is located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It was founded in 1854, making it India's second-oldest engineering school after IIT Roorkee (1847). A notification regarding the conversion of the college into the Unitary Maharashtra Technological University was released by the Maharashtra government on June 23, 2025. The CoEP Technological University law was approved by the state's two houses on March 24, 2025, giving the institute the status of a unitary state university.

One of the oldest engineering schools in Asia is the state-funded Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI), which is situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, which was founded in 1887, changed its name to the one it has currently on January 26, 1997. Although VJTI is an administratively and academically independent institution, it is connected to the University of Mumbai. Nagpur is home to Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management. In 1984, the Shri Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti launched the institute. The institute has built and safeguarded its position in the nation's technical education department throughout the course of more than four decades. It is a separate organisation with a connection to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. From the 2011–12 academic year, Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management received progressive educational autonomy. A curriculum based on business demands should be adopted. Numerous authorised groups, such as the Board of Management, Board of Studies, Academic Council, and Finance Committee, have already been established. The State Common Entrance Test Cell of Mumbai conducts the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET), which is required for enrollment in the state's first-year engineering and technology (B.E./B.Tech) and pharmacy (B.Pharm/Pharm.D.) programmes.
The MHT CET 2025 will take place in a number of locations within and outside of Maharashtra. There are three papers in the test i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology. Paper 1 consists of Physics & Chemistry whereas Paper 2 includes Mathematics/Biology. Each paper has a set time limit of 90 minutes and consists of MCQs.
The Maharashtra State CET Cell announces the MHT CET 2025 Seat Allotment. On the official website, applicants who enrolled for MHT CET Counseling can see the results of their allotment by entering their application ID and date of birth.
After the commencement of the exam, the Maharashtra State CET Cell will announce a cut-off for all admissions. Through the Centralized Allotment Process, DTE Maharashtra announces the MHT CET 2025 seat allocation results based on merit ranking and preference of seats (CAP). Choice-filling and document verification are next in the procedure. After a candidate's documentation is examined, their admittance to the designated college is confirmed.
Counselling for the MHT CET 2025 exam is anticipated to begin in the first week of November 2025. In the third week of November 2025, Maharashtra State CET Cell will publish the seat allocation for CAP on the official website.
