LIC Assistant Engineer Prelims Exam Pattern 2024

The LIC Assistant Engineer Prelims Exam 2024 will be an objective type test. The candidates will have to answer the multiple type questions and select any one correct answer out of the four options. The candidates will have to answer 100 questions in total in the prelims exam.

• The English Language test will be of qualifying nature and the marks in the English Language will not be counted for ranking. 
• In the prelims examination, there will be a total of 100 questions asked and total marks will be 70 marks. 
• Each correct answer will carry 1 mark and each incorrect answer will be marked negatively with 1/4th of the assigned marks. 

LIC Assistant Engineer Mains Exam Pattern 2024 

The LIC Assistant Engineer Mains Examination 2024 includes both objective and descriptive papers where the candidates will have to answer two questions of English language in the descriptive test.

• There will be a total of 120 questions asked in the objective type test and 2 questions in the descriptive test. 
• The total marks will be 300 for the objective type test and the total marks for the descriptive type test will be 25. 
• The marking scheme for every section will be different and there will be a negative marking of 1/4th of the assigned marks.

Note: The candidates will have to qualify in every section separately in both prelims and mains examination.
