Candidates who wish to excel in their career as a Junior Research Fellow or Assistant Professor in the field of Science should take the CSIR UGC NET examination. This examination is held twice a year, in June and December. The CSIR UGC NET examines candidates' eligibility for the Junior Research Fellow and Lectureship positions. Here, we will exclusively discuss the CSIR NET JRF cut off, which is generally released after the CSIR NET result. The candidates who prefer the Junior Research Fellow position over the Lectureship position in any of the five subjects of Science for which CSIR NET is conducted must read till the end. The CSIR NET JRF cut off 2022 was released on 16th November 2022.
- There is no separate cut off for the three parts of CSIR NET. A cumulative cut off for Part A, Part B and Part C is calculated.
- The CSIR UGC NET JRF cut off is released both category-wise and subject-wise.

How To Check The CSIR NET JRF Cut Off 2024?
For checking the cut off for CSIR NET JRF, candidates are advised to follow these steps-
Step 1: Go to the official website of CSIR HRDG.
Step 2: Scroll down and select โCSIR-UGC NET EXAMโ; a dropdown menu will appear. Select the very first option, โResult June 2023โ.
Step 3: From the page that opens, you can view and download the CSIR NET Result and Cut off for JRF held in June 2023 by selecting the suitable option.
Step 4: Candidates can check the previous year CSIR NET Cut off for Junior Research Fellow by selecting the โResult Archiveโ option from the drop-down menu mentioned in Step 2.
CSIR NET JRF Cut Off December 2024
A candidate has to achieve at least equal to more than the CSIR NET Cut off for JRF to secure their eligibility for this position. If any candidate fails to achieve his or her category and subject cut off marks, he or she will not be considered for Junior Research Fellowship under CSIR-UGC.
- An overall CSIR NET JRF cut off is calculated for Parts A, B and C for the merit list.
- The ranks are allotted first to all successful candidates qualifying for the Junior Research Fellowship as per the merit list of JRF. Then the candidates are distributed between CSIR and UGC in the ratio of the number of fellowships shared between these two bodies for each subject except Bachelorโs degree holders who are allocated to CSIR.
- A minimum qualifying mark of 33 % for General, EWS & OBC categories and 25 % for SC/ST and PwD categories is there for both fellowship and lectureship candidates.
- In the Life Science subject, the raw marks obtained have been normalised into NTA score or percentile, and the results have been declared based on the percentile cutoff as indicated.
