The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the UPSC CSE Preliminary Examination as the first step to shortlist candidates for the esteemed Civil Services. The Prelims comprises comprises two objective-type papers:

  1. General Studies Paper I (GS Paper I): This paper evaluates candidates' knowledge across a broad spectrum of subjects, including History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment, Science and Technology, and Current Affairs.
