The bridge ranks as India’s 2nd-highest railway bridge.

Airtel becomes the first private telecom operator to provide mobile services in select border villages of Kupwara, Baramulla, and Bandipore districts.

Uber Shikara: Asia’s first water transport service, launched on Dal Lake in Jammu and Kashmir, offering tourists pre-booked shikara rides through the Uber app.
The service partners with seven local shikara operators and ensures fair pricing, without charging any fees from the operators.

The Centre revoked President’s rule in Jammu and Kashmir
National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has claimed the majority to form a new government, with the National Conference-Congress alliance securing victory in the assembly elections.
This is the first elected government in J&K since the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A in 2019, and the second tenure of Omar Abdullah as CM.

J&K achieved over 61% voter turnout in the 1st phase of assembly polls, the highest in 35 years.
Voting was peaceful across all 24 Assembly Constituencies in 7 districts: Kishtwar (80.14%: Highest), Pulwama (46.65%), Shopian (55.96%), Kulgam (62.46%), Anantnag (57.84%), Ramban (70.55%), and Doda (71.34%).
