Which is the most appropriate maxim of deductive method?

Different teaching methods are used by teachers as per the requirements of students. For choosing the one, the teacher may classify students based on their abilities (ability grouping) or he can choose it based on the compatibility of the topic.

Deductive Method:

• A deductive approach to teaching starts by giving learners rules, then examples, then practice.
• It is a teacher-centered approach to presenting new content.
• This is compared with an inductive approach, which starts with examples and asks learners to find rules and hence is more learner-centered.
• Deductive reasoning is essentially a top-down approach that moves from the more general to the more specific.
