The logic followed here is :-

From the given three different cubes, figure 1 and figure 3 ,the adjacent sides are as shown below :

As 1 is common on both figure 1 and figure 3, it is clear that 2, 4, 5 and 6 are adjacent to it and remaining number i.e., 3 will be opposite to it.

Opposite pairs:

2 → 5

4 → 6

1 → 3

So, the opposite side of "1" will be side "3".
