CONCEPT:

In case of a moderately skewed distribution, the difference between mean and mode is almost equal to three times the difference between the mean and median.

Mean – Mode = 3 (Mean – Median)

CALCULATIONS:

Given, Mean = 12.5

Median = 10

Mode = x

(Mean – Mode) = 3 (Mean – Median)

∴ (12.5 – x) = 3 (12.5 – 10)

Mode, x = 5
