The Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has released the Punjab Police Fireman Eligibility Criteria 2023 along with the official notification PDF on the official website. Candidates must satisfy all the Punjab Police Fireman Eligibility factors before submitting the application form. If it is found that a candidate fills in the incorrect details in the application, then their candidature will stand canceled. 

• As per the Punjab Police Fireman eligibility criteria, the age of the applicants must be between 18 to 37 years as on 01 January, 2023 while applying for the post.
• All the eligible candidates whose application has been accepted by the commission will get their respective Punjab Police Fireman Admit Card only on the official website.
• Qualification for direct recruitment as per Service Rules should be Matric recognized by the Punjab Government as a minimum qualification.

Punjab Police Fireman Eligibility Criteria 2023

Eligibility is an important factor to be fulfilled by all the aspirants before applying for the post. The factors associated with the Punjab Police Fireman Eligibility are shared below:

Age Limit

The minimum age is 18 years whereas the maximum age limit is 37 years as on 01 January, 2023. As per the official notification, the upper age limit will be relaxed for the reserved category candidates as per the Govt rules.

Educational Qualification

• Qualification for Punjab Police Fireman as per Service Rules should be Matric recognized by the Punjab Government as a minimum qualification.

Note: Applicants should have passed PUNJABI at the Matriculation standard.

Linguistic Qualification

• Provided that no person shall be appointed into any post Group-‘C’ service unless he has passed a qualifying test of Punjabi Language equivalent to Matriculation standard with at least fifty per cent marks be conducted by respective recruitment agencies in addition to competitive examination.
• The test of Punjab language shall be a mandatory qualifying test and failure to secure a minimum of fifty per cent marks in Punjabi Language will disqualify the candidate for being considered in the final merit list of candidates.

Physique for direct recruitment

Height: 5’5” minimum 

Chest : 33.5” unexpanded with 1.5” 

Eye sight: 6/6 both eyes without glasses

Physical fitness standard

• Running a distance of 100 yards with a weight of 60 Kg stones in one minute.
• Lifting the hook ladder to a vertical position from 3rd and 6th round.
• Climbing a rope or a vertical pipe to a height of 8-10 feet from the Ground.

Reservation

• The benefit of reservation will be available only to Punjab Devasniks.
• General category candidates' upper age should not exceed 37 years. 
• Candidates resident of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes of Punjab State shall have an upper age limit of 42 years.
• Maximum age limit shall be 45 years subject to relaxation in upper age limits for State and Central Government employees.

Nationality

Candidates willing to secure the Punjab Police Fireman post must be Indian Nationals when applying for the post.

Number of Attempts

The PSSSB has not released any limit on the number of attempts to appear in the Punjab Police Fireman Recruitment. Candidates can apply till they cross their maximum age limit as per the category and other eligibility conditions.
