NHTET 2022: Eligibility, Exam Pattern & Other Details Here!

The NHTET is conducted by the National Council For Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT). It is the eligibility test for candidates willing to apply for the Assistant Lecturer and Teaching Associates posts at NCHMCT-affiliated IHMs. Candidates with a Graduate or Post Graduate Degree in Hospitality Administration/ Hotel Management looking for Teaching Job Opportunities can appear for this exam. • The exam will be for 400 marks.
• For each incorrect answer ½ mark will be deducted.
• To qualify for the exam General/OBC/EWS candidates must score at least 50% marks, and SC/ST/PWD candidates must score at least 45% marks.

NHTET Vacancy 2022

The National Council For Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) has not released the vacancies for the post of the NHTET. The category-wise distribution of these vacancies will be updated once the official notification is released by the authorities.

NHTET Application Process 2022

The applications for NHTET must be submitted online. The application dates are expected to be announced shortly. The steps to apply online are as follows:

Step 1. Visit the THIMS Portal.

Step 2. Click the link to apply for NHTET 2022.

Step 3. Complete the registration.

Step 4. Fill in the NHTET application form carefully.

Step 5. Upload the required documents in the prescribed format. You may use the Testbook Photo Resize Tool to optimize the size of these documents.

Step 6. Pay the application fee.

Step 7. Submit the application.

NHTET Application Fee

Candidates have to purchase a demand draft from any scheduled Bank for the requisite amount of application fee before filling up the form, since the DD number will be required to fill in the form. The application fee required to be paid is as mentioned below

NHTET Eligibility Criteria 2022

The applicants must ensure that they fulfill the required eligibility conditions to avoid disqualification of their applications. Check the detailed NHTET Eligibility Criteria in the following sections.

NHTET Eligibility- Age 

The post-wise upper age limit for candidates belonging to different categories is given below.

The cut off date for age calculation will be as follows:

• For NHTET to be held from January to May: 31st July of the same year. 
• For NHTET to be held from July to October: 31st December of the same year

NHTET Eligibility- Qualifications

The applicants must possess the following qualifications to be eligible for the NHTET:

• Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Administration/ Hotel Management after 10+2 with at least 55% marks. The applicant must also possess 2 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry Experience after obtaining a Degree.
•  Full-time Master’s Degree in Hospitality Administration/ Hotel Management with at least 55% marks from a recognized University/ Institute and Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Administration/ Hotel Management with at least 55% marks. 

NHTET Syllabus 2022

Candidates who are appearing for the NHTET examination must have a very thorough and in-depth understanding of the NHTET Syllabus. The official authorities have not yet released the official syllabus of the NHTET examination. However, it is expected to be out soon. NHTET Exam Pattern 2022

The NHTET will comprise 3 papers - Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3. Each of these papers will have objective type questions. Check details of the NHTET Exam Pattern below:

• ½ mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
• The duration of Paper I and II together will be 2 hours.
• Candidates need to qualify each paper by scoring marks equal or more than the Minimum Qualifying Marks for their respective category.

NHTET Admit Card 2022

The NHTET Admit Card can be very easily downloaded from the official website of the Board. The candidates need to be aware of the correct steps used to download the admit card, which are mentioned below in detail:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the National Council For Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT).

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the ‘Admit Card’ option.

Step 3: Now you can login with the help of your registered email ID and password. 

Step 4: Candidates can now easily access their call letters and check their details very thoroughly. 

Step 5: Finally, download your NHTET admit card and save it on your device for future use. Also, don't forget to take a hard copy of it for examination purposes. 

NHTET Salary

The recruiting board i.e. National Council For Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT) has not released any information about the salary of the employees of the NHTET. The candidates can check this page for further information regarding it.

NHTET Cut off Marks 2022

The NHTET cut off marks are the minimum marks that a candidate needs to score in order to qualify for the exam. If a candidate successfully scores the NHTET cut off marks, then he or she will be moved to further rounds of the selection process.
