The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) offers a full-time Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme, which can be availed by clearing the NTA NEET exam. The JIPMER MBBS Exam has been replaced by the NEET 2022. Hence, the candidates who wish to get admission in the course must apply and clear the NEET exam with or more than the cut off marks as set by the concerned authorities. 

• The Phase 2 of the NTA NEET has commenced and the registration will open till 10th September.

What is JIPMER?

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) was founded in 1823 which provides undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate, super speciality, fellowship, and diploma courses for the candidates who aim to seek a career in the medical field. How to Apply For the JIPMER MBBS 2022?

Step 1: The candidates have to first register online themselves on the official website of NEET UG.

To be eligible to appear in the JIPMER MBBS exam, the candidates must fulfill all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the following section:

Age 

The age of the candidate must be 17 or more at the time of application process. There is no upper age limit to appear in the JIPMER MBBS exam.

Educational Qualification

• The applying candidates must have successfully completed their 12th from a recognized university/institution.
• The applicants who have opted for Physics, chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology are eligible to apply for the exam.
• The category-wise minimum aggregate is listed below:
  • General: 50%
  • OBC,ST,SC OPH: 40%

• The candidates who are waiting for their 12th result can also apply for the JIPMER MBBS exam. 

Nationality 

• Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the JIPMER entrance exam.
• Non Indian residents who are registered as Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) citizenship Act 1995. The candidates are required to submit the present proof of registration at the time of registration. 

JIPMER MBBS 2022 Admission Process 

The counseling for admission to MBBS courses in JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal campuses will be conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India based on the NTA NEET 2021 All-India scores. Admissions to the MBBS course will be done upon the verification of certificates and payment of fees at JIPMER Puducherry or JIPMER Karaikal, as the case may be.

• The Physics, Chemistry and Biology sections carry 240 marks each. 
• The English and Reasoning section weigh 80 marks each. 

JIPMER MBBS Admit Card 2022

The admit card must be preserved by the candidates as it will contain all the important information pertaining to the JIPMER MBBS Exam. The applicants must report any discrepancies in the admit card to the concerned authorities. The admit card must be downloaded from the official website only or else the hall tickets will not be accepted. To download the admit card, the candidates must follow the instructions listed below:

The allotment of the exam center will be dictated by the exam conducting board. The candidates can select their cities of preference while filling up the application form. JIPMER MBBS 2022 Answer Key/Response Key

The provisional answer key for the NEET UG has been released on 30th August 2022 on its official website. The candidates must wait for the release of the final answer key release date. The candidates can challenge the answer key within the given timeframe. NEET UG 2022 Final Answer Key will be released along with the results. NEET UG results 2022 will be announced on September 7, 2022 on the official website of NTA. 

If a candidate thinks any option mentioned on the NEET UG answer key is incorrect/multiple options are correct or no option is correct or there is some other issue, s/he can challenge the answer key during the window provided by NTA. Candidates can also raise objections to the OMR response sheets by paying a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question. The candidates can download the answer key by following the steps listed below:

JIPMER MBBS 2022 Result and Scorecard

The NEET result for the JIPMER MBBS exam is tentatively said to be released on 7th September 2022. The result will be uploaded on the official website of the NTA NEET. the candidates cam follow the steps listed below to download the result:
