JEXPO Counselling 2022 - Know Step-wise Process, Counselling Dates & Documents Required for Admissions!

The JEXPO counselling 2022 was started on 24 August 2022 in an online mode. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEXPO) is a state-level examination which is conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development. The JEXPO exam is conducted to offer admissions to various polytechnic institutions in West Bengal. The JEXPO counselling is organized in three rounds. The third seat allotment list was released on 28 September 2022. Candidates are selected for counselling based on their rank in the examination. The candidates must fill out the counselling registration application, which is available online on the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development website.

JEXPO Counselling 2022 - Complete Process:

The JEXPO counselling will be conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the merit list prepared by the conducting authorities. Candidates with their names on the merit list will be eligible for the counselling and seat allotment process. The aspirants must keep a check on the official website for updates. Below given is the step-by-step process for the JEXPO counselling:

Step 1- Online Registration:

• The candidates have to register themselves by entering their application number in the “New Registration Section”.
•  An OTP will be sent to the registered number or email ID of the candidate, they have to enter that OTP and click the submit button. 
• Now fill in your personal details.
• Set the password of your choice and click the “Update” button. 
• Check your modified (if so) personal details and then proceed. Once the ‘Confirm’ button is clicked, entered data cannot be edited. 
• Only after successful registration can a candidate fill-up choices.

Step 2- Student Login: 

The candidates have to enter their login details i.e., application number and password, in the “Registered Students Login Portal”

Step 3- Choice Filling: 

The candidates will have to submit the preferred choices of courses and colleges; the candidates must make sure to fill in the preference in order, and candidates should select as many options as possible to ensure admission. After selection, locking the choices is very important, or otherwise, the authorities shall finalize the options selected initially. The candidates are advised to review all the submitted choices and take a printout of entered choices. 

Step 4- Seat Allotment:  

• After the Counselling, the candidates are required to check the result section on the official website. 
• A candidate who has been allotted a seat can participate in auto-up-gradation of the allotted seat OR can accept the allotted seat for admission. Candidates, having allotted their first prioritized seats, will not be allowed to participate in the auto-upgradation process. 
• If no seat is allotted, wait for the next phase of counseling, which will be made against the remaining vacant seats after admission. 
• After each phase of allotment, results will be intimated to the candidates through SMS on their registered mobile number.

Step 5- Fee Payment: 

• If you do not want to take part in the auto-upgradation process and desire to take admission to the allotted seat after payment of the Final Seat Booking Fee through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI, print your seat allotment letter as soon as possible.
• If you opt for auto-up-gradation, you have to pay a Provisional Seat Booking Fee through Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / UPI.

Step 5- Document Verification: 

After all the above formalities, the candidates have to report at the allotted institute for document verification. The candidates not showing up to their respective allotted institutes will be discarded from further admission. 

What options will be available after JEXPO Seat Allotment? 

After seat allotment, the following steps have to follow- 

• Fee Payment- The candidates have to pay a seat acceptance fee for the allotted course and college. After payment of the seat allotment, a fee receipt will be issued to the candidates. Candidates who will not pay the fee before the last date will lose their seat allotment as well as all the existing options in the stream to which the allotment belongs. 
• Reporting at the College- After making a successful payment, candidates will have to report to the allotted colleges as per the schedule, along with all the required documents for the Document verification process. 

JEXPO Seat Allotment 2022 

The seat allotment process is conducted along with the counselling process of JEXPO. The authorities will release the merit list with the names of the shortlisted candidates for the JEXPO counselling process. The candidates whose names will be in the merit list will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. The seat allotment process will take place in 3 phases. There are some seats reserved for students who fall under different categories. Admissions to the university can be secured only through the rank obtained by the students in the JEXPO exam.

Documents Required for Verification after JEXPO Seat Allotment 2022

Candidates will have to report to the allotted colleges as per the schedule after the counselling procedure, and fee payment is made. Candidates shortlisted for JEXPO 2022 counselling need to carry the required documents for the Document verification process: 

For admission to 1st year of Diploma Courses:

• Rank Card
• Final Allotment Letter 
• Admit Card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination as age proof and for determination of District of schooling (in case a candidate is allotted District Quota seat) at Madhyamik or equivalent examination level 
• Mark sheet of Madhyamik or equivalent examination
• Reservation (SC, ST, PC, OBC-A, OBC-B, LLQ, TFW, ESM, EWS etc.) related certificates (as applicable) 
• Proof of payment for payment of admission related fees through NEFT/RTGS

For admission to 2nd year of Diploma Courses:

• Rank Card 
• Final Allotment Letter 
• Admit Card of Madhyamik / equivalent examination. - Mark sheet / Certificate of (X+2) Vocational Stream Course issued by West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education & Training OR Higher Secondary OR Final Semester/Year Marksheet of 2 years’ ITI (as applicable) - 
• Reservation (SC, ST, PC) related certificates (as applicable) 
• Proof of payment for payment of admission related fees through NEFT/RTGS 

Note:  The candidates who will be admitted provisionally, will have to submit the following mentioned documents (original) at the reporting time in the allotted institute: 

• Medical Fitness Certificate 
• Anti-Ragging Affidavit
• Domicile Certificate
