The Department of Expenditure in the Union Ministry of Finance offers Indian Civil Accounts Services Profiles i.e. ICAS Profiles are considered to be Group A civil services of India. In order to separate the Auditing & Accounting functions of the Union Government with deputation and transfer from the Indian Audit and Accounts Department, ICAS Profiles were established in 1976.
