CGPET Eligibility Criteria 2022 - Important Information

The conducting authorities have specified certain CGPET Exam Eligibility criteria that all candidates must meet. Candidates must meet certain educational requirements, be under a certain age limit, and be Indian citizens to apply for the courses. Age Limit Criteria 

As for the criteria for age for the students appearing for CG PET 2022, the minimum age should be of 16 years on or before 31 December 2022. While the maximum age should be 30 years as on or before 1 July 2022. For female/ SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH category candidates, a relaxation of 3 years in the upper age is provided.

Number of Attempts

There is no limit on the number of attempts to apply for the CG PET Entrance Exam 2022. Candidates may apply for the CG PET Exam as often as they wish if they comply with the necessary eligibility criteria. 

Aggregate Marks in Qualifying Examination

As per the CG PET eligibility guidelines, candidates must have a minimum of the provided aggregate marks. The aggregate marks required for various courses are listed in the table below: 

CGPET Eligibility Criteria - Nationality and Domicile 

Candidates must be a citizen of India and is advised to carry citizenship of India. Other requirements for domicile eligibility are: 

• Candidates applying for admission in the government, private engineering institutions / Universities of Chhattisgarh under Chhattisgarh state quota seats are required to provide the domicile certificate of Chhattisgarh state.
• Candidates are advised to keep their domicile certificate ready as the proof which will be required during counselling.

• To get admission to top participating colleges for CGPET 2022, the candidate must pass the CGPET 2022 Exam with the given minimum cut-off. 
• Candidates must register by providing the required information and documents to participate in the CGPET counselling and seat allotment.
• Students must note that the respective institutes can cancel the admission if the institute authorities find any false information during the admission process.
