CEPT Exam 2022: Application Process Closed, Check Exam Dates, Selection Process & Cut Off

The exam date for the CEPT Entrance exam will be disclosed by the Center for Environment Planning and Technology University (CEPTU) shortly after the application process has been completed. The registration process began on March 31 2022 and was extended till October 17 2022. The release of the admit card will be notified to the candidates by the university soon. 

• The CEPTU will also accept NATA scores. The candidates must have a minimum mark of 140 in NATA exam to qualify for CEPT entrance examination. 
• In addition to the NATA scores, the CEPTU also accepts JEE Mains scores for the undergraduate courses. 
• The candidates will be able to attend the exam only if they fulfill all the eligibility requirements and upload original documents in the application form.

What is CEPT?

The CEPT entrance exam is conducted on a national level by the Center for Environment Planning and Technology University (CEPTU) on an annual basis. This exam is conducted for the candidates who wish to seek admission into various 5-year undergraduate and 2-year postgraduate courses in designing, planning, and construction. 

CEPT Application Process

To avoid any hiccups while filling the application form, the candidates must follow the instruction mentioned below:

Step 2: Click on the link stating the latest update on the application form. 

Step 3: Now select the apply now option. 

Step 4: Register yourself on the website by following the steps mentioned in the following section of this article. 

Step 5: Add all the personal details, academic details and contact details correctly. 

Step 6: Pay the fee amount mentioned in the screen to complete the application process. 

CEPT Registration Process 2022 

The registration process is much shorter than the application process and requires no more than a few steps. Registration can be done by following the steps illustrated below: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of CEPT. 

Step 2: Click on the Register button under the apply now window. 

Step 3: Enter your Login ID/ Email ID. 

Step 4: Now fill in your full name. The name entered heer must match the name on the other documents uploaded while filling in the CEPT application form.

CEPT Admission Process 2022

The admission process for getting a seat in the CEPT university comprises many steps. Each step has been briefly explained in the following points:

• Registration: To be eligible for admission, the candidates first have to register themselves on their official website of the university. After registration, the candidates can fill in the application from. 
• Download the Admit Card: The CEPT entrance exam will be conducted on the CEPT university campus. The candidates are required to carry their respective hall tickets to the exam hall and present it to the invigilator when asked .
• Appear for the CEPT Entrance exam: The applicants are now half way through the admission process. The exam is undoubtedly the most important part of the admission process. The candidates are strongly advised to reach the exam venue earlier than the time mentioned on the admit card. 
• Download the Merit List: The candidates can download the merit list from the official website. The best scorers will advance to the final stage of the admission process. 
• Personal Interview/Group Discussion: Candidates clearing the CEPT entrance exam will be shortlisted for the interview and group discussion round. A final merit list will be created on the basis of this round. 
• Counseling: This being the last stage, the candidates will be contacted based on their merit rank for the seat allotment.

CEPT Syllabus 2022

• Standard of Mathematics Questions will be as per the syllabus of Class 12th will be asked in the UG courses.
• Standard of English Questions will be as per the syllabus of Class 10th
• For master’s courses, candidates will be asked questions from subjects and topics studied in bachelor’s courses.

CEPT Exam Pattern 2022

The CEPT exam pattern for the entrance exam has been capitulated below:

Bachelor of Interior Design

Here are the details of CEPT Exam Pattern for Bachelor of Interior Design course: -

• CEPT will be conducted in two sessions.
• Session 1 will contain 2 tests on topics like Visual Thinking, Perception, Color Knowledge, Basic Interior and Design Understanding.
• Session 1 will be of total 4 hours, with each test of 2 hours, carrying 100 marks each.
• Session 2 will have a test on Organizational Principles, Observation Skills, Common Sense, and Problem Solving.
• This test will be for 3 hours.
• Both the sessions have a combined weightage of 70% to be eligible for final selection.

Bachelor of Urban Design

• This test will have a total of 100 questions.
• Applicants will be given two hours to complete the test.
• The four sections of the test are: Visual Representation and Perception, Logical Reasoning and Basic Principles of Science, Communicative English and Verbal Reasoning, and Social and Cultural Awareness.
• The weightage of Visual Representation and Perception Section is 50% in the test, Logical Reasoning and Basic Science has weightage of 20%, the rest of the two sections have weightage of 15% each.

Bachelor of Construction Technology

• This test will contain 100 questions.
• Applicants will be provided a total duration of 2 hours to complete the test.
• The four sections of this test are: Analytical Reasoning, English, Construction Awareness and Drawing Skills.
• Expected weightage for each section is 25%.

Master of Urban Management

• Entrance test for this course will include a written ability test.
• Test TAKERS will be granted a topic and they will have to write an essay of around 300 to 500 words on the topic.
• They will bealloted a maximum of 30 minutes for this test.

Master of Landscape Architecture & Master of Landscape Design

• Entrance test for these courses contains a written test and a drawing test.
• In each of the tests, candidates will have to show their creativity and knowledge on a given topic, through writing and drawing in respective tests.
• Candidates will be given around 30 minutes for each test.
• Each test carries a weightage of 15% in the candidate's final selection.

Master of Technology (For All Specializations Available)

• Test for this course will have 100 questions.
• Each question will be of Multiple Choice Type.
• Candidates will be given 2 hours to complete the test.
• This test will have 3 sections, mathematical ability, analytical reasoning and verbal ability.
• 40 questions will be from Mathematical Ability, and rest two sections will have 30 questions each

CEPT Admit Card 2022 

The CEPT admit card will be available on the official website of CEPT. The release date of the admit card will be declared by the university as soon as the registration process has been concluded. The hall tickets will be issued through online mode only. The following steps can be carried out to download the admit card:

Step 1: Open the official website of the university. 

Step 2: Spot the link stating Admit Card for CEPT Entrance Exam 2022

Step 3: Click on the link to enter your details. 

Step 4: The page will be directed to a login form 

Step 5: Enter your Register ID and Password and press on the Download Admit Card button. 

Step 6: Check the details on the admit card for any discrepancies. If not, download and save the admit card on your device for future use.

CEPT Exam Centers

List of Documents Required at the Exam Center 

To clear the verification process, the candidates must carry the following documents to the exam hall:

• A Passport 
• Admit card for the CEPT entrance exam
• Driving License 
• PAN Card 
• Aadhar Card 
• Voter I-Card

CEPT Answer/Response Key 

A provisional answer key will be provided to the candidates on the official website of the CEPT. The candidates can raise obligations against the answer key if they spot any discrepancies in any of the answers present in it. CEPT Result 2022

Step 3: Select the Link for Result

Step 4: Login with your credentials like, Registration Number and Date of Birth

Step 5: Result will be on screen. Download the result and save it for the later stages of the admission process. 

Cut Off Marks 

The official cut off mark for the admission has not been released by the university. The candidates can take a look at the expected cut off marks to prepare accordingly for the exam. 

CEPT Counseling Session 2022 

The CEPT counseling process will be conducted for the highest scoring candidates in the CEPT exam. Applicants who make it to the Merit list will be called for the counseling session with original academic documents proof of category CEPT admit card filled in admission form et cetera. CEPT University will be disclosing the counseling schedule for the new admission fee amount, mode of payment and other information on the official website soon. After the counseling session has been conducted seats will be reserved for the candidates when they deposit the admission fee, original documents with admission form and other charges within the stipulated time. Seat will be made available to subsequent rank holders in the waiting list if the candidate fails to submit the admission fee within the given time and the admission will be canceled. 

Important Points for the CEPT 2022

The applicants must consider the following points regarding the CEPT entrance exam: 

• Unnecessary items or any electronic gadgets are not allowed in the examination hall. If the candidate is found in possession of these items, his/her candidature will be canceled at the discretion of the university. 
• Applicants can withdraw from admission within a given time frame. Fees paid for registration and hostel can be reimbursed after deducting some amount against admission processing charges.
• Change in course/campus will not be possible in case a candidate has been successfully admitted to any course after the counseling process and a seat is reserved by the candidate.
