Common Entrance Exam for Design-CEED cutoff 2023 marks have been released for Part-A of the exam by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay. For CEED cutoff 2023, the institute released the Part-A cutoff in the form of a mean and standard deviation, 18.62 and 11.93 respectively, on 10 Feb 2023. To qualify in CEED exam Part A, OPEN category candidates must score 24.58, EWS/OBC candidates must score 22.12, and SC/ST/PwD candidates must score 12.29. 

• The CEED 2023 cutoff mark for Part A is the minimum mark required for candidates to qualify for Part-A. Part B of CEED 2023 will be evaluated only if the candidate has qualified for Part A.
• The CEED results are now available on the official website. Following that, candidates can begin downloading their CEED 2023 scorecard on March 12, 2023. 
• The Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is administered to qualified candidates for admission to Masters of Design (M.Des) and Ph.D. programs at Colleges accepting CEED Score. 
• The CEED 2023 exam is divided into two sections: Part A, which includes objective questions, and Part B, which includes subjective questions. 
• The final CEED score will be calculated by allocating 25% of the marks obtained in Part A and 75% of the marks obtained in Part B.

CEED 2023 CutOff Admission (Expected)

For Master of Design (M. Des.)

The candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, design, or architecture with grades/CPI that are at least the required minimum. Candidates with degrees in interior design or fine arts are ineligible to apply. Financial aid requires a valid GATE or CEED score.

For a Ph.D. in Design

The candidate must hold a master's degree in engineering, technology, or design with the minimum required grades or CPI. For financial aid, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or design (four-year programme) with a minimum of 75 percent marks or 7.5 CPI and a valid GATE/UGC/CSIR score, with the exception of IIT alumni who must have a minimum CGPA of 8.0.

 Master's Degree in Science or a related field meeting each of the requirements listed below may also be taken into consideration; First division in a bachelor's degree, 95 percentile or above in a GATE or CEED score, and at least 65 percent marks or 6.5 CPI in the master's degree.

How to Check the CEED Cutoff 2023?

Last year, IIT Bombay modified the CEED shortlisting criteria. The formula for calculating the CEED cutoff has been modified. The following is the new formula for determining CEED shortlisting criteria: µ + (σ 2) = δ, according to the official website.where µ and σ are the average marks and standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by all the candidates in Part-A of CEED 2023. After the first decimal place, the and will be rounded off. Candidates from the reserved categories will be required to meet a lower cut-off mark, which will be:

• 0.9𝛿 for OBC-NCL/ EWS
• 0.5𝛿 for SC/ST/PwD

CEED Counselling Process

Seats and branches will be allocated during the counselling process. The seats are assigned to successful candidates based on their performance in CEED 2023. CEED 2023 counselling will begin tentatively in the third week of March 2023. The counselling and seat allocation will take place online. The details will be published and candidates will be notified via e-mail. To participate in the counselling, qualified candidates must first obtain a counselling call letter from the CEED 2023 website. Check the official website of the institute to which you are applying for admission. Applicants will be required to report to their respective colleges following seat allotment based on their marks.
