BPSSC Steno ASI Exam Pattern 2025

The BPSSC ASI Steno exam pattern is expected to consist of 2 papers.

General Hindi
GK & Current Affairs

Both the Papers will have objective-type questions. Each Paper will consist of 100 questions of 1 mark each while Paper 2 consists of 100 questions of 2 marks each. Paper 2 has a negative marking of 0.2 marks for each wrong answer.

BPSSC Steno ASI Selection Process 2025

The selection process for BPSSC ASI will consist of a Written Exam, Dictation Test, Typing Test, Computer Awareness test followed by Medical Examination. Those candidates who will be qualified in the written test will be called for the Dictation Test, Typing Test (English typing & Hindi typing)

Dictation Test

For Hindi dictation, you will be tested by a dictation with a speed of 80 WPM (words per minute) for 5 minutes. You will be given 20 minutes to type the dictation. To qualify this stage, typing errors should not be more than 10% of the dictation.

Typing Test

For Hindi typing, a minimum speed of 30 WPM (words per minute) is needed. Candidates have to type a minimum of 300 words in 10 minutes with a typing error of less than 5%.

For English typing, a minimum speed of 30 WPM (words per minute) is needed. Candidates have to type a minimum of 300 words in 10 minutes with a typing error of less than 10%.

Computer Awareness Test

Candidates should have adequate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and the Internet. You will be disqualified if you fail to pass this test.
