ZIM vs IND: As Team India added the World Cup trio in its squad for the 3rd T20I against Zimbabwe, the Men in Blue looked to put their best foot forward in order to take the lead in the 5-match T20 series. Shubman Gill are tied 1-1 in the series so far with the Indian losing the opening fixture to the hosts.

Shubman Gill’s IND Post 182/4 vs ZIM

Deciding to bat first, Shubman Gill opened the innings with the returning Yashasvi Jaiswal who was a part of the travelling reserves but didn’t feature in any game. While Jaiswal departed on just 36 runs courtesy of a Sikandar Raza delivery, skipper Shubman Gill scored a brilliant 66 in the innings.

Last match’s centurion,  Abhishek Sharma also failed to make a mark and got dismissed at just 10 runs. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson were eventually given the responsibility to take India to a competitive score in the end. Ruturaj missed out on a fifty by just one runs as India posted 182/4 in their 20 overs.

Sikandar Raza yet again led with the ball as he managed to pick up 2 scalps to his name.
