After an incredible win at Edgbaston, Birmingham, the Indians are out again to dominate at the iconic Lord’s and take the lead in this 5-match Test series. Shubman Gill, the newly inducted skipper for the team, has outshone every other batter in the series. Jasprit Bumrah, who was benched for the 2nd Test, has been brought back by the visitors. Jofra Archer has also made his return for the English side.

England were aggressive towards him and Carse has managed to nip him out. Another nip-backer and Gill's feet don't move much, he's beaten on the inside edge and struck on the knee roll. Ball-tracking showed it to be smashing into middle-stump.
Brydon Carse to Karun Nair, out Lbw!! Carse strikes! Error in judgement and Nair is gone. Seemed like he started to walk before umpire Paul Reiffel raised his finger but he was struck on the knee and moved away to gather himself. Nip-backer and Nair does not judge it well, shoulders arms and is struck on the leg. The impact didn't matter as he wasn't playing a shot and umpire Reiffel had his finger up in a flash. Nair did have a word with Rahul but the pair decide against the review. Just the boost England needed with 30 minutes to go.

Jofra Archer to Jaiswal, out Caught by Jamie Smith!! Twice in two innings Archer gets rid of Jaiswal, that too without letting him score a single run off him. Banged in short outside off at 141kph, he goes for the pull but it gets too big on him and he's in no control. The line isn't ideal for the shot either as he has to fetch it. Ends up getting a thick top-edge and it goes straight up. A dolly for the keeper.
Washington Sundar to Bashir, out Bowled!! Again he hits the stumps and again it's the drift doing the trick. Washington finishes with a four-fer, and the target for India will be 193! It's slightly shorter than a good length, drifts away and Bashir is beaten on the outside edge in defence after dancing down the pitch. The ball crashes into off stump
Bumrah to Woakes, out Bowled!! Woakes gets cut in half with a delivery nipping back down the slope! Up go the arms from Bumrah as he wheels away in celebration. Back of a length, comes in sharply, keeps low perhaps as Woakes tries punching it through the off-side and he drags it off the inside edge onto the top of leg stump.
Bumrah to Brydon Carse, out Bowled!! Inch-perfect yorker from Bumrah and he finally opens his account in the second innings! England are falling apart at Lord's. It's speared in at high pace, Carse is slightly late to get the bat down, might've played down the wrong line too and it fizzes past him to cannon into the base of leg stump.

This is a massive wicket because Smith can score quickly. It is that drift which Washington gets that's deceived Smith. He was hanging back to this flatter delivery, plays down the wrong line as the ball beats the outside edge and crashes into the off-stump. It kept a tad low as well but it was the away drift that beat Smith there.
Washington Sundar to Root, out Bowled!! Cleaned up! Sundar has broken the partnership and given India the much needed breakthrough. No. 1 batter bowled behind his legs, now the no. 2 batter is bowled behind his legs. Very similar to the Brook dismissal. Root sits down to sweep but leaves his leg-stump exposed, the ball drifts in and sneaks past his swinging blade to clatter into leg-stump.

Siraj to Pope, out Lbw!! The Indian fielders swarm around Siraj as the Lord's erupts in joy. The nip-backer from Siraj, got the ball to shape in and hit Pope on the back pad. Pope wanted to play it down the ground, but his tentative foot work has once again cost him his wicket. Neither fully forward, nor back. Siraj was super confident that Pope was a goner and managed to convince his skipper quite quickly. There were a couple of nervous faces when Gill signalled for the review, but the moment they saw three reds (was going to hit the top of leg peg according to ball tracker) it was proper theatre.

Siraj to Duckett, out Caught by Bumrah!! There is the early breakthrough for India. Duckett showed signs of aggression and he perishes trying to hit Siraj down the ground. Siraj looks absolutely pumped up and he is celebrating in Duckett's face. Bumrah to Crawley, no run, that is a brutal delivery from Jasprit Bumrah. He will feel that he missed out an poortunity here. The ball angled in from a length and climbed awkwardly onto Crawley. He was trying to push it off the front foot and the ball smashed him on the gloves before lobbing into the leg-side (where silly mid-on would have been). Bumrah ran in hard and put in the desperate slide, but unfortunately for India, it just flicked his fingers and fell onto the ground
Siraj to Duckett, byes, FOUR, poor start from Siraj! Bowls a 138ks full delivery down the leg-side, Duckett looks to flick but it was well wide of his reach. Jurel dives full length to his left, but it was always going to fly past him....
