In the ongoing fight against terrorism in Kashmir Valley, three more terrorists have been neutralized by joint team of forces at Nader Tral. The operation, which is still underway, aims to ensure that no further threats remain in the area.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the terrorists may be identified as Aasif Shiekh, Aamir Nazir, and Yawar, all reportedly affiliated with the militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM). Notably, Aasif Shiekh’s name had surfaced during the investigation of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, where he was suspected of providing logistical support to the terrorists responsible for the brutal killing of innocent tourists. However, officials have yet to confirm this link.
In a swift response following the Pahalgam attack, the residential homes of both Aasif Shiekh and Aamir Nazir were destroyed as part of counter-terrorism measures.
This encounter follows Operation Sindoor, during which six terrorists were eliminated in the Kashmir Valley within just 48 hours. These operations have led to the neutralization of several top commanders from both Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, marking a significant achievement for the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Indian Army, and security forces engaged in combating terrorism in the Jammu and Kashmir.
