The Great Indian Kapil Show is all set to return on Netflix for its much-awaited third season. Netflix has dropped its first teaser and has revealed that superstar Salman Khan will be the first guest. Salman was seen joking about his movie ‘Sikandar’ and its underwhelming response and also made a joke about Aamir Khan’s marriage.
In one of the snippets, Salman asks his impersonator if there has been any effect on their work after Sikandar. He said, “Kaam dhanda accha chalra hai? Sikandar se koi farak to nahi pada (Is everything good at work? Did Sikandar make things worse for you)?”
Later, Kapil Sharma asked Salman Khan about his relationship and also mentioned how Aamir Khan introduced his girlfriend Gauri. To this, Salman joked, “Aamir ki baat kuch aur hai. Vo perfectionist hai, toh jab tak vo marriage ko ekdum perfect nahi kar lega… (Honestly, Aamir stands in a league of his own. The world knows him as a perfectionist. So until he achieves perfection in marriage…).”
Sharing the promo, Netflix wrote, “Sikandar ka swag + Kapil ki timing = BLOCKBUSTER. The Great Indian Kapil Show is back aur har Funnyvaar badhega humara parivaar. Watch the first episode from 21 June, 8 pm, every Saturday only on Netflix.”
Apart from Kapil, Archana Puran Singh, Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek and Kiki Sharda are confirmed to return to the third season.
In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Archana talked about Kapil’s popular joke and said that even she doesn’t clearly know what her role is in the comedy show.
She said, “Now it’s become a joke. Kapil makes jokes about everything, people take it seriously. I don’t because I know the name of the game is make a punch, get a laugh out of it, and move on.”
“Yes, I am paid to judge a comedy show, which is what I initially started doing with Comedy Circus. Now, I am paid to not judge Kapil’s show, but to be a celebrity guest. I don’t even know what my role is. Kapil only keeps joking. How am I paid to laugh? In a way, I am paid to enjoy the show, and because my enjoyment is very loud and spontaneous, it translates to I am paid to laugh,” she added.
The episode will stream on Netflix on June 21 at 8 PM. New episode will release every Saturday.
