‘Metro In Dino’ brought back the romance on the big screen again but it has been struggling at the box office. The movie initially had a good run in the first weekend, but fumbled after day three. Despite receiving praise for its storyline and performances, ‘Metro In Dino’ has been struggling to attract the audience in the theatres.

According to the website, ‘Metro In Dino’ collected Rs 2.25 crore on day 6 as per early estimates. The movie has earned Rs 24.50 crore in total.
The movie stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher and Saswata Chatterjee in the lead roles.

Earlier, while speaking to Mid-Day, Fatima Sana Shaikh praised Anurag Basu and shared her experience of working with him in Metro In Dino and Ludo. She told Mid-Day, “As a director, he is considerate and takes care of you. People think if the film is taking long, a lot of shoot is being done. But that’s not the case. Since his films have an ensemble cast, he has to coordinate the dates of so many actors. If you trust him, he will get the best performance out of you. Also, his characters are so well-written.”
‘Metro In Dino’ serves as the spiritual sequel to Anurag Basu’s 2007 movie ‘Life In A Metro’. The movie starred Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, and Sharman Joshi in the lead roles. Both ‘Metro In Dino’ and ‘Life In A Metro’ focus on themes of modern relationships and love in urban cities.
