Dhanush is undoubtedly one of the most versatile actors in India and is back on the big screen with the movie ‘Kuberaa’. Also starring Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh in the lead roles, the movie has created hype ever since its announcement. The movie is also expected to perform well in theatres, given the massive excitement among the fans and its good response.
Kuberaa Box Office Collection Day 1:
According to the website Sacnilk, Kuberaa collected Rs 13 crore on its opening day.
Earlier, while speaking to Cinema Vikatan, director Sekhar Kammula revealed he was initially hesitant to narrate Kuberaa’s story to Dhanush. He revealed, “When the story was ready, I was hesitant to narrate it to Dhanush. I was worried and doubted whether he knew me or not. However, when I called him, he surprised me and talked about his favourite films out of my filmography.”
Jim Sarbh, who is seen in a pivotal role in Kuberaa, learned Telugu from scratch for his role. He shared “Well, the challenge, of course, was learning the lines because I don’t speak Telugu. That took a lot of time and effort, and I don’t like the idea of saying a sentence without knowing what each individual word means.”
“In English, you might say, ‘How many are there?’ but in Telugu, it could be like, ‘Many are there, how?’ or something similar. So, where do you put the ‘how’? At the end of the sentence, at the top of the sentence? That took some time and effort to get right,” he added.
Produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd, Kuberaa is co-produced by Vipul Agarwal and Manish Vasisth.
