Shaitan, starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyotika and Janki Bodiwala, will reportedly return with a sequel. The movie became one of the biggest hits of 2024 and was a critical and commercial success. Ajay Devgn is reportedly working on the sequel of Shaitan and the project is currently in the process of finalising a script.
According to Mid-Day, Ajay Devgn has two stories for Shaitan 2. The first one is an original script and the second script is said to an adaptation of Vash Level 2. For the unversed, Shaitan is the remake of the popular Gujarati film ‘Vash’. A source told Mid-Day, “’Vash Level 2′ begins 12 years after the first part, with the protagonist realising that the evil force hasn’t entirely left his daughter.”
“Unlike Vash, which saw the protagonist’s wife and son dying, Shaitaan had a happy ending with Ajay’s character saving his daughter and reuniting with the family. As the two endings were different, Shaitaan’s makers decided to pen an original story for the second installment, while retaining the backstory,” the source added.
R Madhavan, Jyotika and Janki Bodiwala are also said to be returning in the sequel.
On the work front, Ajay Devgn will work on Golmaal 5 soon. According to a report by Pinkvilla, the movie will go on floors by February/March 2026. “A fresh set of writers are working on the script of Golmaal FIVE, which is expected to be locked by September 2025, not-withstanding the dialogues and polishing work,” a source told the portal.

The movie will reportedly feature its iconic cast of Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, and Johnny Lever among others.
Ajay has a bunch of films lined up. He will next star in De De Pyaar De 2, Drishyam 3, Son of Sardaar 2, Dhamaal 4 and many more.
