Greater Noida: A shocking incident emerged from Greater Noida West, where a BMW car worth Rs 72 lakh was destroyed due to the builder’s negligence on Wednesday morning. The incident that occurred in Eros Sampoornam Society has created an uproar among the residents. According to News24 reporter Junaid Akhtar, Vice-President of the Society’s Apartment Owners Association (AOA), Navneet Juneja, arrived at the spot and informed the police about the incident.
What Exactly Happened?
The car’s sunroof was shattered after a large piece of plaster broke off and fell over it from the 5th floor. Following the incident, the car’s owner filed a complaint with the local police. Sharing details about the incident, Juneja said that the owner resides on the ground floor of the A4 Tower. He recently purchased a new BMW car valued at Rs 72 lakh, and its number was issued on Tuesday. At the time of the incident, no individual was passing by, otherwise, there could have been loss of life and property, he added.
Police Speaks To The Builder
In the aftermath of the incident, the police spoke to the builder and asked him to pay compensation for the damage caused to the car. An investigation is underway, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
President Of AOA Reacts To Society’s Condition
The President of society’s AOA, Dipankar Kumar, informed that the condition of the society is bad due to the builder’s negligence. The walls, basement, and even the lift need to be repaired. He further mentioned that the complaint regarding the takeover and handover process is being heard by the Greater Noida Suthority ACEO Saumya Srivastava. Meanwhile, the society residents are waiting for appropriate action to be taken in the matter.
