Delhi Weather Update: Delhi has been experiencing light spells of rain over the past few days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast the possibility of more rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds traveling at a speed of 40 to 50 Kmph in the city on May 24 and 25. Meanwhile, residents might wake up to cool weather, getting relief from the ongoing heat. However, the Weather body has issued a yellow alert for dust-raising winds in the capital during these two days.
Delhi Weather Forecast For Next 5 Days
The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy over Delhi/NCR on May 26 and 27. IMD has predicted the chances of thunder and lightning during these two days. Meanwhile, the maximum temperatures may reach up to 38 degrees Celsius on May 26, while it may touch the 40 degrees mark on May 27. Notably, no warning has been issued in the national capital for the next five days. Light showers with thundershowers are also likely to hit the city on May 27 and 28, with the maximum temperatures surging to 38 degrees Celsius. Delhiites will witness a partly cloudy sky again on May 30th.
Protective Measures
It is anticipated that the dust-raising winds, which are likely to hit Delhi today and tomorrow, might have severe effects. Therefore, the residents are urged to take necessary precautions and avoid stepping out. Additionally, they are advised to wear a mask when outside as well as cover exposed skin with proper clothing. To reduce dust accumulation, consider using dust goggles. Most importantly, stay informed and keep checking for updates regarding the potential dust events.
