TVS is gearing up to launch the all new facelift for Apache RTR 160 2V and the Apache RTR 180 models as per a recent teaser that the brand has revealed on its social media. Both of these models have been slightly dated and have seen gradual emission compliance related changes in past few years. The bikes have witnessed formidable demand over the years.
TVS Apache RTR 1602V and Apache180 Updates
Just like all the other manufacturers, TVS has been updating their model ranges with the latest OBD2 emission norms and also updating their product line with a bunch of new features to compete with the other bikes in the segment. Quite recently, the Apache 200 4V as well as the Apache RR310 were updated with similar changes. Beyond the mechanical updates the bikes were also equipped with new 37 mm gold-finish in the USD forks.
Going by the teaser, it seems that TVS is also planning to upgrade the current 1602V and 180 models. The update would incorporate a new design update along with OBD2 compliance for these rather dated engines. Right now the 160 2V, single cylinder air cooled engine is rated to produce 16Hp at 8750 rpm and 13.85 Nm @ 7000 rpm. Beyond that the Apache 180 is powered by a 177 cc single cylinder air cooled engine that is able to produce 17Hp at 9,000 rpm and 15.5 Nm of peak Torque at 7000 RPM.
Apache RTR 160 2V and Apache RTR 180 New Prices
Currently the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V has been priced between Rs 1.21 lakh to Rs 1.31 lakh. While the 180 is available with a single variant price at Rs 1.35 lakh. Even though both the bikes are quite dated till now, they still witness formidable demand in the market. The continual update by the brand showcases that the bike has been in strong demand ever since its launch. Its possible that the prices of the bike might increase with the new update.
