MPV Segments for years was ruled by the hegemony of two monikers the Ertiga and the likes of XL6. After a while, a slew of new entrants joined the market such as the Kia Carens and now the Kia Clavis. The sudden emergence of new competitors in the segment, aided further by the affordable price tags that brands like KIA have been able to manage with their vehicles lead to cut throat competition. Witnessing the increasing demand for MPV’s under the 15 lakh Budget, a slew of brands have been planning to launch their new vehicles, here is a list of all of them.
Kia Carens Clavis EV
Following the goodwill that the recent launch of the Carens Clavis has been able to receive, Kia is planning to launch an all new EV version of the same vehicle soon. The new EV version would witness new exterior updates and new enhancements to the interior of the cabin. Since the new KIA vehicle would probably be using the powertrain from the Creta Electric its possible that the overall range and other figures might be similar. The Kia Clavis EV is set to go on sale next month in India.
It’s possible that the Kia Clavis would have a range of over 450Km and it would be sold with two battery options. The equipment would comprise of a large touchscreen, infotainment system, and an all digital instrument console. Going by Kia’s history of ensuring all their cars are optimized for optimum safety the new Carens EV might be given a slew of new safety features as well.
MG M9:

Beyond Kia, MG is also planning to launch an all new all electric M9 Luxury MPV in the coming months. The car would be finished in three color options. Although the details are scarce at the moment, it seems that the car would be limited to MG select dealerships only distribution would be limited to MG Select Outlets, and the car would feature alongside the upcoming Cyberster and ELectric roadster. While the vehicle would have similar dynamics to the Kia Carnival in terms of the body style. The MG M8 would be equipped with a 90KWh battery pack that is able to deliver 245 BHP and a peak torque figure of 350Nm of torque. The car would possibly have a range of 430Km on a single charge. Prices of the vehicle are expected to start off at around Rs 60 Lakh Mark.
Nissan Compact Mpv

A slew of insights before the launch of the new 7 seater compact MPV has revealed that the new Nissan Compact MPV would be a badge-engineered facelift version of the Renault Kiger. The MPV would be based on the CMF-A+ architecture and would be priced competitively against the competitors in the market. The Compact MPV would be powered by a 1.0 Litre Na and Turbo petrol engine, beyond that, Nissan would also be launching an all new 5 seater SUV as well.
